Get to Know Me
When I attended my very first Yoga class back in 1998 it had a huge impact on me, right from the get-go. I couldn't tell you what poses we did, what breath we did, or any of the details - all I remember is feeling different - as though something had shifted. I felt good! Those first few classes seemed to release and free so much - both on a physical and emotional level. And for the first time ever, I felt like the real 'me'. A curiosity and spark was ignited!
Over the years, and with continual practice, my strength in both body and mind started to develop. I began to feel better equipped to handle the inevitable ups and downs of life - to find calm amongst the chaos. I found a true acceptance of all aspects of myself - all the while learning not to take myself too seriously and find JOY! Who knew Yoga could help to achieve all this??
And then, with the encouragement and support of my many great yoga teachers, friends and family, I embarked on my teaching journey - which I now know will be never ending. I know I have only just begun to scratch the surface..
